Canada Geeks - your friendly neighbourhood computer "bank"

Canada Geeks serves the GTA with the aims of redistributing surplus computers and peripherals, refurbishing them with the help of volunteers interested in learning about computer technology.

The computers and accessories will then be distributed to individuals who otherwise would not be able to access computers, or who choose to reuse rather than purchase brand new units.

In addition, the project will also:

1. REDUCE the number of computers going to landfill sites.
2. PROVIDE training and experience with hardware maintenance and software installation.
3. PROMOTE the use of Free-and-Open-Source Software and show how to use it.
